Jean Elliott Every session of the Mid-Atlantic Conference on the Scholarship of Diversity was punctuated with lively discussion and drew across-the-board rave reviews. Evaluations reflected a positive tenor with participants calling the experience “thought-provoking,” ““lively,” “candid,” “empowering,” “enlightening” and “one of the highlights of my year.” There were several requests that this event become an annual affair. The premiere conference featured more than 40 presentations, symposia and panels, and brought together undergraduates, graduate students, faculty members and administrators from across the region. The topics cut across a variety of disciplines, including biology, political science, mathematics, psychology, human resources, history, education, and public administration.
